This week, the PGA Tour presents the fantasy golf community with the 2021 Wyndham Championship. Believe it or not, the Wyndham Championship is the last regular season event on the PGA Tour schedule in the race for the FedEx Cup! That means golfers in this week’s field that are not yet qualified for the 2021 FedEx Cup playoffs will be fighting to earn enough points to gain a spot in the playoffs that begin next week.

Before I discuss my fantasy golf player selections I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide a specific lineup. Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a Draftkings GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!

Here are my fantasy golf/Draftlings player selections for the 2021 Wyndham Championship.

Webb Simpson $10,600

The 2012 U.S. Open champion arrives at this week’s 2021 Wyndham Championship playing quality golf. More specifically, Simpson has two consecutive top 19 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a 15th place result at last week’s 2021 WGC FedEx St. Jude Invitational.

As far as previous event/course history goes, Webb certainly checks that box. Since the Wyndham Championship began playing at the Sedgefield Country Club in 2008, Simpson has an impressive nine top 11 finishes, including a win in 2011. Let’s just say that I love Webb’s chances to play well this week!

Matthew Wolff $9,300

The talented young American fired a first round 64 at last week’s WGC FedEx St. Jude Invitational en route to an eventual 17th place finish. Wolff also finished 19th at the 2019 Wyndham Championship.

Seamus Power $8,500

Power has accumulated three consecutive top eight finishes on the PGA Tour, including a win at the 2021 Barbasol Championship last month.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2021 Wyndham Championship field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Power ranks fifth in strokes gained tee to green, third in birdie or better percentage, and second in bogey avoidance.

Bo Hoag $7,100

Hoag arrives at this week’s PGA Tour event in good form. Hoag has two top 16 finishes in his last three tournaments played, including an 11th place result at the 2021 Barbasol Championship.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2021 Wyndham Championship field, in the last eight rounds played on the PGA Tour, Hoag ranks sixth in strokes gained tee to green, fourth in bogey avoidance, and fourth in strokes gained approach.

Roger Sloan $6,700

The 34 year old Canadian has accumulated two consecutive top 16 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a sixth place result at last week’s 2021 Barracuda Championship. I think Sloan presents outstanding fantasy golf value at the low Draftkings price of only $6,700.

Additional golfers I like this week: Russell Henley $9,400: Brian Stuard $6,900.
