Potential winners
Rory Sabbatini – The Olympic silver medalist has continued his hot streak this week. He’s tied for third this week, which would move him from 141st to 122nd in the FedEx Cup standings.
Roger Sloan – He started the week at No. 131 but has worked his way up this week. With one round to play, the Canadian is now 102nd in the standings and in position to make the postseason.
Scott Piercy – It’s been a big week for Piercy already. He was literally on the bubble as the week started, sitting at No. 126. He’s also tied for third through 54 holes, which would move him into 93rd place and into the playoffs.
Matt Kuchar – He started the week at No. 124 and he sits in that exact spot with 18 holes left to play. Kuchar hopes to keep his playoff streak alive but he’ll need to hold on Sunday.
Potential losers
Justin Rose – He started the week at No. 138 and has climbed to No. 126. He needs a bit more to get into the postseason.
Bo Hoag – He started the week at No. 125 but missed the cut and will have to watch and wait on Sunday. His fate will be determined by others, which has to be tough.
Scott Stallings – He missed a four-foot putt on 18 on Friday that would have allowed him to make the cut. Now, Stallings will wait and see if he makes the playoffs.
Patrick Rodgers – He started the week at No. 123 but has fallen to 128 with 18 holes left. And he’s another player who will have to watch and wait on Sunday.
