Each week on the PGA Tour, there are players who fare better than expected and those who come up short of what was expected of them. Here at Pro Golf Now, we call them winners and losers. Here are this week’s winners and losers from the 2021 Wyndham Championship.

More from Pro Golf Now

Winners

Kevin Kisner – He earned his fourth PGA Tour win with a birdie on the second playoff hole on Sunday. He shot 66 to get into the six-man playoff, then took advantage of an outstanding second shot on the second playoff hole to win.

Adam Scott – The former major champion was one of the biggest names on the FedEx Cup cut line prior to this week. He came in at No. 121 and his postseason was in danger. He answered that by making his way into the playoff, where he could have won on the first hole. Still, his T2 moved him comfortably into the postseason.

Roger Sloan – What a big week for the Canadian. He entered the event at No. 131 in the standings and made it all the way to the six-man playoff that decided the Wyndham Championship. He’ll be in the postseason and will hope to take advantage of his recent hot streak.

Chesson Hadley – Needing a big round on Sunday to get into the postseason, Hadley had just that. He shot a 62, including an ace on No. 16, to climb 36 spots on the leaderboard and into the 125th position for the playoffs.

Scott Piercy – He started the week at No. 126 but played well enough to get into the postseason. His tie for 15th this week was enough for him to climb to No. 116 in the FedEx Cup standings.

Losers

Justin Rose – He needed to have a pretty good week to make the playoffs. He tied for 10th but came up just short, finishing No. 126 on the FedEx Cup points list. He missed a six-foot putt for par on the 72nd hole that would have gotten him into the postseason.

Bo Hoag – He entered the week in the No. 125 position in the FedEx Cup standings. But he missed the cut and had to watch as others passed him and made the postseason. Hoag ended the regular season at No. 129 and will watch the playoffs from home.

Patrick Rodgers – Like Hoag, he entered the week inside the playoff cut line. And, like Hoag, he missed the cut and had to watch the weekend. Rodgers ended in 128th place and will not make the playoffs.

Ryan Armour – He entered the week in 122nd place in the FedEx Cup standings but shot 74-68 to miss the cut. He fell to No. 127 and will not be playing in the postseason.

Russell Henley – He dominated this event for three days, only to lose it on Sunday. It was a disappointing finish for Henley, who remains winless in over four years.
