There are a number of very good players still looking for their first win on the PGA Tour. In our current series, we are taking a look at the players who might be next to get that first win. Today’s subject is Will Zalatoris.

The 2020-21 season was an interesting one for Zalatoris. He did not have an official standing on the PGA Tour, yet he continued to prove that he was one of the best players on tour all season long.

His biggest feat came at the Masters, where he finished a strong second to Hideki Matsuyama. That seemed to launch him into another level of play.

Zalatoris made a total of 25 starts on the PGA Tour last season, making 21 cuts. He finished in the Top 25 on 14 occasions and had eight Top 10s. The runner-up showing at Augusta National ended up being his top finish of the season.

Out of this series, there are two players who seem like absolute locks to win this season on the PGA Tour – Scottie Scheffler and Zalatoris. Both have shown that the big stage does not scare them and both have proven that they have what it takes to win on tour.

Zalatoris is still just 25 years old. He has plenty of time to earn a win.

However, if he wants to continue his career trajectory, it would be good to go ahead and get that win under his belt. Perhaps even this fall before the winter break on tour.

Nevertheless, Zalatoris will be one of those guys who will play on the tour for a long time. He’s got tons of game and is one of the brightest young stars in the game.

Look for Zalatoris to get into the win column very soon. And after that, it probably won’t be long until he adds to his win total.
