This week, the PGA Tour is heading to The Summit Club in Summerlin South, Nevada for The CJ Cup. This is a no-cut event which helps all tour players in the field. A little less stress Friday afternoon on the cut-line and more focus on four full days of golf. There are 78-players in the field for the tournament. Below are three dark horses. These are guys who are not necessarily among the best players in this week’s event, but still have a chance to perform well.

Dark Horse Number 1

Justin Rose: Rose is one of my dark horses because even though he is playing in Europe lately, he is playing well. A seasoned veteran on tour and a long shot to win this event. He should be one of the more confident plays this week if you are looking for value.

Last Two Finishes on Tour: 6th (EURO), 2nd (EURO)

Dark Horse Number 2

Cam Davis: Coming off a top 30, Davis is one of my dark horses because he is a young guy on the rise. Even though it is a good field, he is one that will start contending with some time with the best. He actually won an event last season which shows he can close out an event. That should separate him from a lot of other contenders in this field.

Last Two Finishes on Tour: 27th, MC

Dark Horse Number 3

Aaron Wise: Wise is my final dark horse because he is playing well in his two starts to the new season. He is a guy that won’t win, but will climb his way up if everything is working in his game. Easy to say that because that’s what it takes for all guys on tour, but Wise is one that can sneak into a top 15 on the weekend.

Last Two Finishes on Tour: 8th, 26th
