This week, the PGA Tour travels to the beautiful shores of Mexico for the World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba. Let’s take a look at this PGA Tour event from a fantasy golf perspective.

Before I discuss my fantasy golf player selections I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact lineup for a specific fantasy provider. Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!

*This event has been played at the El Camaleon Golf Club every year since 2007.

Here are my fantasy golf/DFS player player picks for the World Wide Technology Championship!

Justin Thomas

The 28 year old American has accumulated five top 22 finishes in his last seven tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a fourth place result at the 2021 Northern Trust in August.

In relation to this week’s current listed Bermuda Championship field, in the last eight rounds played on the PGA Tour, Justin Thomas ranks fifth in strokes gained tee to green, tenth in strokes gained approach, and third in birdie or better percentage.

I also like the fact that Thomas has performed at a high level at this week’s PGA Tour event previously. Justin Thomas finished 12th at the 2020 World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba.

Brian Gay

The 49 year old fired a third round 64 at last week’s Bermuda Championship en route to an eventual 12th place finish.

In relation to this week’s current listed Bermuda Championship field, in the last eight rounds played on the PGA Tour, Brian Gay ranks first in three putt avoidance, fourth in birdie or better percentage, and nine in strokes gained around the green.

It should also be noted that Brian Gay finished 14th at the 2019 World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba.

Chad Ramey

Chad Ramey arrives at this week’s PGA Tour event on the heels of two consecutive top 17 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a 14th place result at the Bermuda Championship last week.

In relation to this week’s current listed Bermuda Championship field, in the last eight rounds played on the PGA Tour, Chad Ramey ranks fourth in bogey avoidance, seventh in birdie or better percentage, third in driving accuracy, and 11th in GIR (greens in regulation).

Adam Long

The 34 year old American has accumulated two top 29 finishes in his last three events played on the PGA Tour, including a 25th place result at the ZOZO Championship two weeks ago.

Long also checks the box for me when it comes to previous event/course history. Long has played the World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba two times since 2019. In those two tournaments just mentioned, Adam Long has accumulated two top three finishes, including a second place result at the 2019 World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba.

Additional golfers I like: Patrick Reed: Aaron Wise: Keegan Bradley.
