The PGA Tour is in Sea Island, Georgia, this week for the RSM Classic. The field this week does not feature many of the world’s very best players, but there is some star power. Here are the groups to watch there on Thursday and Friday.

Max Homa, Louis Oosthuizen, Scottie Scheffler – Homa already has a win this season (Fortinet Championship) and is looking for more. Oosthuizen missed the cut here last year but don’t expect that again this week. Scheffler held the 54-hole lead last week in Houston and is going to win very soon.

Jason Day, Justin Rose, Webb Simpson – Day has made two cuts in two starts on tour this year, but has finished T64 and T54. Rose has been just a little better than Day, finishing T57 and T40 in his two starts this season. Simpson has not won at Sea Island but has played well and should be in contention.

Joaquin Niemann, Adam Scott, Cameron Smith – Niemann missed the cut in Houston last week but was T5 at Mayakoba. Scott has made three of three cuts so far this year, including a T5 at the CJ Cup. Smith seems to be in contention nearly every week and this week should not be any different.

Joel Dahmen, Zach Johnson, Matt Kuchar – Dahmen is coming off his best finish so far this season, a T5 at Houston. ZJ made his first cut of the season, in four tries, last week in Houston. This week is a home game for Kuchar, who was T22 at Mayakoba two weeks ago.

Harris English, Kevin Kisner, Robert Streb – English finished T6 here last year but has been battling a bad back. Kisner is the all-time leader in earnings at this event and was the 2016 winner. Streb is the defending champion and a two-time winner here.
