This week, the LPGA Tour presents the first major championship of the year, the 2022 Chevron Championship. Let’s take a look at this prestigious tournament from a fantasy golf perspective.

Before I discuss my fantasy golf player selections I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide a specific lineup. Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!

Now let’s turn our attention to what I love doing the most.

Here are my fantasy golf player selections for the 2022 Chevron Championship!

Jin-Young Ko

Jin-Young Ko is playing simply outstanding golf this year. More specifically, Jin-Young Ko has accumulated two consecutive top-four finishes on the LPGA Tour, including a win at the 2022 HSBC Women’s World Championship earlier this month.

Ko also checks the box for me when it comes to key player statistics. Jin-Young Ko is currently ranked first in GIR (greens in regulation-80.62%), ninth in putts per GIR (1.70), 12th in driving accuracy (82.14%), and first in scoring average (68.12) on the LPGA Tour.

It should also be noted that Jin-Young Ko won the 2019 Chevron Championship.

Lydia Ko

The current third-ranked ladies golfer in the world arrives at this week’s major championship in outstanding form. Since the beginning of January, Lydia Ko has played four tournaments on the LPGA Tour. In those four events just mentioned, Ko has accumulated four top 23 finishes, including a win at the 2022 Gainbridge LPGA @ Boca Rio in January.

Lydia Ko is currently ranked 19th in putts per GIR (1.74) and 20th in scoring average (69.88) on the LPGA Tour.

Lydia Ko finished second at the 2021 Chevron Championship.

Ryann O’Toole

The 35-year-old American has accumulated three top 27 finishes in her last four tournaments played on the LPGA Tour, including a 12th place result at last week’s 2022 JTBC Classic.

O’Toole finished 13th at the 2018 Chevron Championship.

Next. Decade by decade, the best of the Masters. dark

Anna Nordqvist

Earlier this month, Nordqvist fired a third-round 69 at the 2022 Saudi Ladies International (Ladies European Tour event) on her way to an eventual sixth-place result.

Additional golfers I like this week: Brooke Henderson: Charley Hull: Lexi Thompson:
