Fantasy Golf: 2022 Travelers Championship DFS Player Selections

This week, the PGA Tour travels to Cromwell, Connecticut for the 2022 Travelers Championship. Let’s take a look at this week’s PGA Tour event from a fantasy golf perspective!

Before I discuss my fantasy golf player selections I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact lineup for a specific fantasy provider.

Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!

Here are my fantasy golf/DFS player selections for the 2022 Travelers Championship.

Scottie Scheffler

The 2022 Masters champion has accumulated two second-place finishes in his last three events played on the PGA Tour, including a second-place result at last week’s 2022 U.S. Open.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2022 Travelers Championship field, in the last 24 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Scottie Scheffler ranks fifth in strokes gained tee to green, second in strokes gained approach, second in birdie or better percentage, and fifth in bogey avoidance.

Keegan Bradley

Since the beginning of April, Keegan Bradley has played five tournaments on the PGA Tour. In those five events just mentioned, Bradley has accumulated three top-eight finishes, including a second-place result at the 2022 Wells Fargo Championship last month.

It should also be noted that Keegan Bradley finished second at the 2019 Travelers Championship.

Denny McCarthy

Denny McCarthy arrives at this week’s 2022 Travelers Championship on the heels of two consecutive top-seven finishes on the PGA Tour, including a fifth-place result at the 2022 Memorial Tournament.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2022 Travelers Championship field, in the last 24 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Denny McCarthy ranks second in strokes gained putting, first in scrambling, and tenth in strokes gained on par fours.

Full disclosure, McCarthy does not have a great record at the Travelers Championship. I am willing to look past Denny’s previous event history due to his recent outstanding play on the PGA Tour.

Seamus Power

Seamus Power has accumulated three top 17 finishes in his last four events played on the PGA Tour, including a ninth-place result at the 2022 PGA Championship.

Power also finished 19th at the 2021 Travelers Championship.
