This week, the PGA Tour presents the fantasy golf community with the 2023 Mexico Open at Vidanta. Let’s take a look at this week’s PGA Tour event from a fantasy golf perspective!

Before I discuss my fantasy golf player selections I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact lineup for a specific fantasy provider.

Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!

Now let’s shift our attention to my DFS/fantasy golf selections for the 2023 Mexico Open at Vidanta!

2023 Mexico Open at Vidanta DFS Player Selections

Gary Woodland

Gary Woodland fired a first-round 68 at the 2023 Masters Tournament on his way to an eventual 14th-place finish.

Due to the fact that Gary Woodland played exceptionally well at the 2023 Masters Tournament, I decided to take a hard look at Woodland’s player statistics for the event relative to the field.

After four rounds of competitive golf played at the 2023 Masters Tournament, in relation to the field, Woodland ranked fifth in GIR (greens in regulation-70.8%) and fifth in driving distance (310.4 yards).

It should also be noted that Gary Woodland finished 24th at the 2022 Mexico Open at Vidanta.

Patrick Rodgers

Patrick Rodgers has accumulated two consecutive top-19 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a fifth-place result at the 2023 Valero Texas Open earlier this month.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2023 Mexico Open at Vidanta field, in the last eight rounds played on the PGA Tour, Patrick Rodgers ranks first in GIR (greens in regulation), fourth in strokes gained off the tee, and tenth in bogey avoidance.

I also like the fact that Rodgers has played well at this event previously. More specifically, Rodgers finished tenth at the 2022 Mexico Open at Vidanta.

Brent Grant

Four weeks ago, Brent Grant finished eighth at the 2023 Corales Puntacana Championship.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2023 Mexico Open at Vidanta field, in the last eight rounds played on the PGA Tour, Brent Grant ranks seventh in GIR (greens in regulation), first in birdie or better percentage, and tenth in driving distance.
