4) Stephan Jaeger

"Jaegerbomb" has resonated with many, players and fans alike.

Whereas Scottie Scheffler is the unstoppable force, Stephan Jaeger is the immovable object. Not many can go toe to toe with Scottie Scheffler on a Sunday, but that's exactly what Jaeger did at the Texas Children's Houston Open.

He nearly captured his second win of 2024 at the Black Desert Championship last week but finished runner-up to McCarty. Jaeger's ceiling is sky-high -- the solo second was his fourth finish inside the top three this season.

His putter has been red-hot since the start of the FedEx Cup Playoffs, so expect Jaeger to ride that momentum into contention in Vegas.

3) Taylor Pendrith

I mentioned Hoge as one of two players in the field who made the Tour Championship -- Pendrith is the other.

Pendrith's performance at the Presidents Cup left a lot to be desired, but there is no doubt he has the best resume of everyone in the field. The Canadian boasts six top-five finishes in 2024, including a win at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson.

He comes in with five consecutive finishes inside the top 25, and like Jaeger, Pendrith's putter has been scorching since the FedEx Cup Playoffs. A T3 here last year, and it is no surprise that he is one of the favorites this week.
