The 2025 Memorial Tournament marks the seventh of eight Signature Events of the 2025 PGA Tour season, with the only remaining after this week being the Travelers Championship, which will be contested the week following the U.S. Open.

Jack Nicklaus' famed Muirfield Village Golf Club typically plays as one of the most difficult courses on the calendar, and this year is certainly living up to that billing, as the 5-over cut line on Friday was the highest of the season to date.

Only 14 players in the 72-man limited field failed to make it to the weekend (Brian Campbell withdrew), and there are several high-profile names in genuine contention, a list headlined, of course, by defending champion Scottie Scheffler, who's looking for his third victory in four starts.

If the world No. 1 can emerge victorious, he'll become the first back-to-back winner at the Memorial since Tiger Woods took the title at Jack's Place three years in a row from 1999 to 2001.

2025 Memorial Tournament purse breakdown

As a Signature Event, the 2025 edition of the Memorial Tournament features a $20 million total purse, with $4 million and a whopping 700 FedEx Cup points going to the winner.

Each of the top four finishers at Muirfield Village will collect a seven-figure check, with $2.2 million going to the second-place player, $1.4 million going to third, and an even $1 million going to fourth.
