After a well-deserved week off following his historic victory at The Masters, Rory McIlroy returns to action this week as he and Shane Lowry will vie for a second straight win at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, the only team event on the PGA Tour schedule.
After making their way around TPC Louisiana in 25-under over their first 72 holes a season ago, McIlroy and Lowry defeated Chad Ramey and Martin Trainer in a playoff, only needing a par on the first extra hole to take the title.
Unsurprisingly, McIlroy and Lowry come into the 2025 edition of the Zurich Classic as the heavy betting favorites to repeat at +360.
As Trainer is not in the field this week, Ramey will team up with Justin Lower, and oddsmakers aren't giving them much of a chance at +8000.
Outside of McIlroy, the only other player from the top 10 in the Official World Golf Ranking teeing it up in the Bayou this week is world No. 4 Collin Morikawa, who will once again team with Kurt Kitayama. The duo tied for 23rd a year ago but come into this week with the second-shortest odds at +1200.
Rounding out the top five are Thomas Detry/Robert MacIntyre (+1800), J.T. Poston/Keith Mitchell (+1800), and Wyndham Clark/Taylor Moore (+2000).
