The PGA Tour remains in California for this week's Farmers Insurance Open. The second event on the West Coast swing sees a strong field take on one of golf's iconic venues, Torrey Pines Golf Course in La Jolla, California.

The magnificent locale located just outside of San Diego has long been a staple on the PGA Tour calendar. For the second time in two weeks, the 147-man field competing in this year's Farmers Insurance Open will take on multiple courses, Torrey Pines South Course (par-72, 7,765 yards) and North Course (par-72, 7,258 yards). The South Course at Torrey Pines will host three of the four rounds this week, including both of the final two rounds on the weekend.

Brooks Koepka will make his highly anticipated return at this week's event and is part of a significantly strong field, which also includes Xander Schauffele, Ludvig Aberg, Cameron Young, Patrick Cantlay, and Hideki Matsuyama, to name a few.

Defending Farmers Insurance Open winner Harris English returns to Torrey Pines this week, while Ludvig Aberg also secured a win at this venue last year, as Torrey hosted the Genesis Invitational last February.

The stage is set for another compelling week of golf at an iconic venue. Let's get into this week's picks and predictions for the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open.

2026 Farmers Insurance Open picks and predictions

Top 20 pick for the Farmers Insurance Open: Max Homa (+230)

2023 Farmers Insurance Open winner Max Homa has a terrific record at Torrey Pines and on the West Coast in general. Including his 2023 win, Homa has four top-20s in six starts at the Farmers. Max played well throughout the fall, with three top-20 finishes in four starts. He finished T27 at last week's American Express.

Sleeper pick for the Farmers Insurance Open: Sam Stevens (+5100)

Sam Stevens opened the 2026 PGA Tour season with a T31 finish at the Sony Open before finishing in a tie for sixth at last week's American Express. He finished runner-up at last year's Farmers Insurance Open and has finished inside the top 15 in two of his last three starts at Torrey Pines. Additionally, Stevens excels off the tee, ranking 37th on the PGA Tour last season, an important trait to have at a venue like Torrey Pines.

Pick to win the Farmers Insurance Open: Will Zalatoris (+4900)

After another lengthy absence, Will Zalatoris returned to action on the DP World Tour in December before making his PGA Tour season debut last week at the American Express, where he finished T18, having gained strokes across the board.

A runner-up at the Farmers Insurance Open in 2022, Will has a strong record at this event with three top 13 finishes in his last four starts. He finished T24 at the Genesis Invitational at Torrey Pines last year.
