As the LPGA Tour season is getting underway, one player who may be looking to make a move and finally win on tour is Alison Lee.

The talented 29-year-old has had 25 top 10s in her career but has yet to win. Could 2025 be the year she finally breaks through? Her performance last season may indicate how close she is.

In 2024, she had three top-10 finishes, with her best finish being a tie for third at the Fir Hills Seri Pak Championship. She also secured a top-25 finish at one major last season.

Lee finished in a tie for 22nd place at the Amundi Evian Championship in July. Additionally, she finished in 67th place in last year's Race to CME Globe standings, narrowly missing out on a place in the Tour Championship.

Lee has had a steady place on tour since her debut in 2015. She has made 69% of her cuts while on tour.

She also has been a part of winning Solheim Cup teams in 2015 and last season. She won one of the four ball rounds helping secure victory for the Americans.

Alison Lee excelled with the putter last season

She ranked in fourth place in three-putt average per round posting a 1.15% mark throughout the year. She also had eight eagles for the year, a category she ranked 24th in last season.

She also performed well out of the rough. She averaged 56.06% hitting greens out of the rough for the season. That put her 23rd on tour.

In 2023, Lee finished in a tie for second at the CME Group Tour Championship. It was her third straight second-place finish that season.

She credited some of her success to golfing legend Fred Couples who Lee met in early 2023. He has since been a mentor to the talented golfer.

“To see someone like that, a legend like that, watch me play golf and tell me how good I am, it's surreal to think that he's telling me how good I am. For the longest time, I didn't believe it myself", she told LPGA.com.

Couples won 15 times on the PGA Tour including the 1992 Masters. If Lee continues to move forward and uses the advice and mentorship of a player of Couples caliber, it could easily result in a victory for her this season.

She has yet to make an appearance at the start of the new season, but when she does look for her to compete with the top players on the tour.
