After leading the United States to their first victory at the Solheim Cup in seven years, veteran Stacy Lewis is set to tee off at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship this weekend. It will mark her first tournament since the AIG Women's Open a month ago.

Lewis had made only four cuts this season. Her best performance was a tie for seventh place at the Dana Open. Her year though, will be most remembered for her leadership displayed at the Solheim Cup. She worked throughout the year to build the team up and it resulted in a victory at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club two weeks ago. Lewis told reporters how special winning the Cup was: "There were parts of this journey that were hard - it was busy, it was frustrating at times, but that's part of it."

Lewis will hope to build on the momentum this weekend. She has won the Walmart NW Arkansas tournament twice in her career. Her first came in 2007 when she was declared the unofficial winner due to weather issues.

16-year veteran Stacy Lewis would win the tournament in 2014 by one stroke.

At the Dana Open this year, she shot a season-low 67 in both of her first and third rounds. It led to a season-best finish and a 10-under-par tally for the tournament. She currently ranks 47th in Drive Accuracy Percentage at 73.18%.

The American veteran also ranks in 28th place in putts per round for round 4. She averages 29.00 during the crucial final round on Sundays.

As she comes off the emotional high of leading the US to victory, she could only hope to build on that momentum. If Lewis can add another top 10 to her resume it would be an impressive way to close out 2024.
