PGA Tour professionals teed it up alongside amateurs in a California Pro-Am event for the second time in three weeks. A couple of weeks after stopping in Palm Springs for the year's first Pro-Am, the PGA Tour returned to Pebble Beach for the 2025 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. One of golf's iconic venues welcomed an elite field for the year's second of eight signature events.
A year after the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am was cut short to 54 holes following extreme weather and unplayable conditions, this year's championship was set to deliver an exciting finish. With players including World No.1 Scottie Scheffler, 2017 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am winner Jordan Spieth, and four-time major champion Rory McIlroy all teeing it up for the first time on the PGA Tour in 2025, it was always a high likelihood that a big name or two would find themselves in contention at this year's event.
While a large portion of this year's elite field at Pebble Beach succumbed to the elements on Moving Day, Rory McIlroy and a handful of others made significant moves up the leaderboard during the third round. For all of his success, McIlroy has seldom won in the state of California but a sensational 7-under 65 during his third round had the Northern Irishman well-positioned to notch his second career win in the Golden State. McIlroy, alongside Zurich Classic teammate Shane Lowry, Presidents Cup star Tom Kim, and 2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am winner Justin Rose, formed part of a crowded leaderboard chasing tournament leader Sepp Straka going into the final round.
Straka, the 36-hole and 54-hole leader at the 2025 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, showed incredible resolve during a challenging third round to ensure that he remained in contention going into the final round. The recent winner of The American Express shot a 2-under 70 on Moving Day and would aim to complete the Pro-Am double by adding a second win in a three-week span to his increasingly impressive resume as Justin Ray highlighted.
With so many names within just a few shots of Straka's lead entering the final round, the conclusion of the 2025 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am was set to be a wild one. In addition to winning at one of the most iconic venues in golf and sports, this year's champion would also take home a hefty sum of prize money. How much was on the line at the year's second signature event? Let's take a look at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am prize purse and payout distribution by finishing position in 2025.
AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am purse 2025: Total purse and winner's prize money
The purse for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am is set at a whopping $20 million in 2025 with the champion at Pebble Beach taking home a handsome $3.6 million winner's share. Following in the footsteps of the season-opening signature event at The Sentry, the second signature event will also divvy out a $20 million prize to its field for the second year in a row. As with every event to have been awarded signature status, the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am prize purse has more than doubled in size since becoming a signature event. The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, along with the other seven signature events on the schedule, boasts some of the largest purses players will see this season outside of The Players Championship and one or two of the major championships.

Like at The Sentry to begin the new season, the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am will divvy out staggering prizes not only to the winner, who takes home the aforementioned $3.6 million sum, but to its entire field. Each of the Top 23 finishers will earn over $200,000 in prize money at the 2025 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am while the Top 10 finishers will clear over $500k. The Top 3 finishers at Pebble Beach will all earn a staggering seven figures.
In addition to earning a handsome amount of prize money, and all of the other perks that come with winning an event on the PGA Tour, the 2025 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am champion will collect a valuable 700 FedEx Cup points in the season-long race to East Lake and the 2025 Tour Championship later in the year. Understandably, much like the humongous purses in these signature events, the FedEx Cup points on offer in these marquee events have also seen an increase; up from the standard 500-point allotment in non-signature events on the schedule. The PGA Tour returns to Arizona next week for golf's biggest party; the 2025 WM Phoenix Open.
