On Monday night, teams at opposite ends of the 2026 TGL standings faced off as the Jupiter Links (0-2-0) teed off against Atlanta Drive GC (2-0-0). Jupiter has been consistent with their lineup all year: Max Homa, Akshay Bhatia, and Kevin Kisner. Atlanta sent out Billy Horschel, Chris Gotterup, and, for the first time this year, Lucas Glover.
Triples
This match began the way many of us anticipated, with Atlanta jumping out to an early lead. The usual suspects were not helping Jupiter with Homa finding a penalty area and Kisner chunking a driver off the deck.
After building an early 2–0 lead, Atlanta appeared to ease off the gas. Jupiter then went on to win five straight holes for the first time in franchise history. They accomplished this by capitalizing on a rare mistake by Horschel on the third hole.
On holes four through seven, Kisner, Homa, and Bhatia put their iron/wedge shots to under five feet. The back-to-back-to-back birdies helped secure Jupiter Links a 5-2 lead at the end of the Triples portion of the match. At the beginning of the match, the team captain, Tiger Woods, stated that it was important for his group to get off to an early lead. That did not happen, but fortunately for Jupiter Links, they responded in a big way.

Singles
With the match still very much in reach for Atlanta, they needed to gain some early points and momentum in the one-on-one portion of play. Gotterup, who has had a strong start to the TGL and the PGA Tour year, flew his tee shot into the water. Bhatia went on to win the hole with a par and pushed the lead to four. Homa and Glover tied the next hole with a par, which led Atlanta's captain, Justin Thomas, to throw the Hammer before the tee shot on hole 12.
Earlier in the match, Thomas joked that he was saving all of his Hammers for Kisner. At any other point, this would have been a great strategy, but unfortunately for Atlanta, it was just not their night. Horschel missed the green on the par 3 and had a less-than-ideal chip that left him a very long par save. Kisner made par, but Horschel, who has delivered in countless TGL moments, missed his putt. This ultimately sealed the win for Jupiter as they took a six-point lead with three holes remaining.
Atlanta was able to make the score look much more competitive than it was in reality by scoring four points in the last two holes to make the final 8-6 in favor of Jupiter Links.
"“We’re having fun. We’re scoring points. We’re thumping the defending champs. I think Jup Links is officially back.”Max Homa

As one of the most entertaining teams in TGL, it would be great to see Jupiter go on a run to the playoffs. They will need more performances like Monday night from Homa and Bhatia while having Kisner just be competitive for that to happen.

Looking ahead
The Bay Golf Club (0-2-0) looks to get back on track after their embarrassing effort against Boston last week. They will tee it off against the Los Angeles Golf Club (1-1-0). These two teams were the best in the regular season in 2025; however, both are currently fighting for a playoff spot this year.
The Bay is sending out two TGL rookies in Luke Clanton and Nate Shipley, and they will be joining Min Woo Lee. Los Angeles's roster for next week is comprised of Sahith Theegala, Tony Finau, and Tommy Fleetwood. Finau and Fleetwood will be making their 2026 debuts. This match takes place on Monday, February 9, at 7:00 PM EST on ESPN2.
