Los Angeles Golf Club (0-1-0) and Jupiter Links (0-1-0) both looked for their first win of the 2026 TGL season on Tuesday night, with Jupiter playing in back-to-back weeks after being soundly defeated by New York last week.

Los Angeles' roster was the same as it was in their first match, as they sent out Justin Rose, Collin Morikawa, and Sahith Theegala. Jupiter also used the same lineup as last week: Max Homa, Akshay Bhatia, and Kevin Kisner.

Tiger talks Hammers

Once again serving as Jupiter's captain, Tiger Woods talked with ESPN's Scott Van Pelt before the match, and the discussion focused on Woods’ preference for throwing the Hammer and whether any strategic considerations influenced that choice.

Tiger laughed off the question and revealed that his teammates have taken control of the Hammer decisions. As he continues to rehab his back surgery, Woods has remained in high spirits during these matches.

Triples

The Hammer came into play early in the match; however, Los Angeles was the team throwing the orange flag. On the second hole, Los Angeles threw the Hammer ahead of Justin Rose's 16-foot eagle putt to win the hole, while Jupiter had an eight-foot birdie putt left to finish the hole. Jupiter ended up accepting the Hammer and won the first half of the battle, as Rose missed his putt. But unfortunately for Woods and company, Bhatia missed his putt as well, gifting LA the hole and two points.

The third and fourth holes went by with no points won until yet another pointless Hammer was thrown on the fifth hole by Jupiter. Bhatia hit his 6-iron to within five feet on the par-3, as Los Angeles easily declined the Hammer, as they still had over an 18-foot putt left for birdie. Los Angeles responded quickly and won the next hole as Kevin Kisner hammered his six-foot putt well past the hole.

The seventh hole proved thrilling, with both Rose and Homa coming close to something special on the par 3. Rose went first and put his tee shot within five feet; however, Homa would not be intimidated. He came as close to a hole-in-one as we have seen on TGL as Homa hit the pin with his 9-iron, and both teams finished the hole with a birdie.

Los Angeles finished the alternate-shot portion of play with a victory on the ninth hole as Kisner put his tee shot into the penalty area and could not recover. LA ended up taking a 4-1 lead into the intermission.

Singles

The singles portion of play started off with a bang, as Justin Rose made TGL history.

Homa and Rose both put their tee shots on the fairway on the par-5, and Homa put the pressure on Rose by giving himself an eagle opportunity by hitting his 3-wood to within 24 feet. What happened next will make the TGL highlight reel forever, as Rose holed out his 5-iron from 227 yards to hit his first-ever albatross and the first in league history. His team joined him in his celebration, and even Tiger Woods could not help but smile.

It was at this point that Los Angeles had seized all momentum and expected to run away with the rest of the match. The next hole, Jupiter again was unsuccessful with the Hammer, as Morikawa and Bhatia split the hole.

However, Jupiter began its comeback on hole 12 when Kisner unexpectedly won a hole due much to the penalty of Theegala. Jupiter Links drew within one point when they threw their last Hammer before tee off, and Homa was able to hit a birdie after Rose's sloppy drive and chip. On hole 14, Morikawa made the putt of the match as he hit a 17 foot birdie putt to win the hole and the match by a score of 8-4.
