Can Keegan Bradley continue outstanding start to season?
There was a loud roar on the 18th and final hole for not only Harris English in the final round on Saturday at the Farmers Insurance Open. A loud roar came for 2025 U.S. Captain Keegan Bradley who drained a 60-foot putt for eagle to close out his round.
The eagle putt put Bradley one under par for the tournament and helped secure him a tie for 15th place for the week. It was the Ryder Cup captain's third top 25 in three tournaments played.
Two weeks ago, at the Sony Open, Bradley was able to post an impressive tie for sixth place. During the tournament, all four of his rounds were in the sixties.
Currently, he ranks in fourth place on tour for driving efficiency and eagles made, which includes the 60-footer on Saturday. Bradley also is in 15th place in Par 4 scoring average in the early part of 2025.
He has a scoring average of 3.85 on the Par 4s during his first 3 tournaments. He also ranks in 36th place for his approaches to the green at .536
It is the start that Keegan Bradley should be hoping for in an important 2025.
As captain of the Ryder Cup team, Bradley will be busy working on selecting the team and continuing to compete at a high level. Bradley will look to continue to make history as captain.
Last season, at the BMW Championship, he became the first Ryder Cup captain to win on tour in 10 years since Davis Love III in 2015.
This weekend, he will be looking to compete at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. According to golf insider, Patrick McDonald, the 38-year-old Bradley could take home the trophy this week.
In an article on CBSSports.com, McDonald spoke of Bradley's chances at Pebble Beach."We can't quit now. After betting on Bradley at the Sony Open and the Farmers Insurance Open, he did not do anything for us to jump off the ship at Pebble Beach. Collecting three straight top 15 finishes to begin his year, the U.S. Ryder Cup captain has the entirety of his game in good order."
As 2025 continues to move forward it will be important for Bradley to continue playing well to add more momentum ahead of the Ryder Cup. A win on tour will signal to all he is up for the challenge.
The Ryder Cup will be held in September at Bethpage.
