While Rory McIlroy finally winning The Masters to complete the career Grand Slam is obviously the biggest story in the golf world over the past week, the second may just be the PGA Tour suspending a part-time player.
And this is with a Signature Event going on, by the way, as Scottie Scheffler headlines an elite field of players at the RBC Heritage.
The player in question, of course, is Wesley Bryan, who actually won the RBC Heritage eight years ago, marking his first and only PGA Tour victory.
Once ranked as high as 36th in the Official World Golf Ranking, Bryan now sits at No. 242 in the world and has made just three starts this season, twice missing the cut but recording a T25 at the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines.
When not teeing it up in official events, the South Carolina native keeps himself plenty busy, as he and his brother, George, have played a significant part in the ever-growing YouTube golf boom, as their Bryan Bros channel now has more than half a million subscribers.
While Wesley failed to qualify for The Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass, he did compete in the Creator Classic, a nine-hole affair held on the eve of the tourney that featured 10 of the most prominent golf content creators, including Grant Horvat, who won the event in a playoff over Chris Solomon and, oddly enough, George.
And that's where the story gets interesting.
LIV Golf took a not-so-subtle jab at the PGA Tour by posting a Wesley Bryan highlight video
Recently, several of those same participants from Sawgrass took part in LIV Golf: Duels, which was essentially the Saudi-backed circuit's answer to the Creator Classic. Played ahead of the LIV event in Miami the week before The Masters, six YouTubers, including both Bryan brothers, were paired with six LIV players for a nine-hole scramble featuring a $250,000 purse.
The event aired on Horvat's channel, which has 1.15 million subscribers, and was won by George and Sergio Garcia, who defeated Bubba Watson and Luke Kwon in a playoff. Wesley, who was paired with two-time major champ Dustin Johnson, finished fifth.
Now, one would think that with the PGA Tour still attempting to merge with LIV Golf, Bryan's participation in the Duels event wouldn't be that big of a deal.
But that's apparently not the case, as it was reported this week that the 35-year-old has been suspended indefinitely, which seems to signify that golf's civil war is no closer to ending than it was when the supposed framework agreement was announced nearly two years ago.
And that seems to be why the official LIV Golf had zero problem taking a shot at the PGA Tour by posting a Wesley Bryan highlight from Miami on its official X account.

Not so subtle, is it?
Bryan says he doesn't regret participating in the Duels event and even had positive things to say about the PGA Tour when making his first remarks following the suspension.
He also said that he hopes his professional golf career hasn't come to an end, and if you dive into the comments on the video, you'll see that many are calling for LIV Golf to add Bryan to the roster as a wild-card player, which would obviously add yet another intriguing chapter to this ongoing saga.
