After altering the golfing landscape forever when it first debuted back in 2022, LIV Golf is preparing for its fourth season with some very noticeable schedule changes reportedly in the works.

Fresh off of Ripper GC winning LIV's coveted Team Championship at the end of September, and two-time major winner, Jon Rahm, securing the league's Individual Championship in his debut season with LIV, preparations are already underway for the upcoming 2025 season. The LIV Tour will begin its season in Saudi Arabia in early February of next year at the magnificent Riyadh Golf Club for the very first time. Riyadh GC will also play host to the LIV Golf promotions event next month before making its debut on the official schedule next February. The 2024 LIV season began with the LIV Golf Mayakoba event in Mexico which will presumably now take place at a later date in 2025.

The increasingly popular LIV Golf Adelaide event held at The Grange Golf Club in Adelaide, Australia, moves up in the schedule for 2025 with the event now set to take place the week following the season-opening event in Saudi Arabia. The event played in front of passionate Australian fans took place in April during the 2024 season. Following the LIV Adelaide event in mid-February, LIV Golf will return to Hong Kong and Singapore in March; with the Singapore event also moving up in the schedule after taking place in May during the 2024 season.

LIV Golf reportedly plans significant change to 2025 schedule

According to a report in the Sports Business Journal per, Josh Carpenter, LIV Golf will reportedly play nine of its planned fourteen events for the 2025 season outside of the United States. It's widely expected that the famous Real Club Valderrama has been tabbed to once again host Spain's LIV Golf Andalucia event, while an event is also expected to take place in the United Kingdom once again; presumably at the JCB Golf & Country Club for the second season running.

Surprisingly, LIV has supposedly scrapped plans to return to several U.S. locations in 2025 including LIV Nashville and LIV Houston, which drew large crowds this past June and were won by Carlos Ortiz and Tyrrell Hatton, respectively. Per the report, LIV Golf will also not return to Las Vegas or The Greenbrier during its upcoming season, instead, a new event planned for the Indianapolis, Indiana, area is reportedly in the works.

Other significant changes revolve around a change of location for the season-ending LIV Team Championship in 2025. Maridoe Golf Club in the Dallas, Texas, area previously hosted the 2024 season finale in September. While the Team Championship is expected to change locales ahead of the 2025 season, Maridoe Golf Club will still reportedly host an event sometime next June. Additionally, LIV is expected to return to the Chicago area once again for its LIV Chicago event; the event hosted LIV's Individual Championship during the 2024 season.

According to the SBJ report, LIV plans to unveil more of its 2025 schedule in the coming days.
