Entering the night on Tuesday, every team was in playoff contention with New York having the opportunity to clinch a playoff spot with back-to-back wins.

New York Golf Club vs The Bay Golf Club

In the first match of the night, New York teed off against the Bay Golf Club. New York sent out Xander Schauffele, Matthew Fitzpatrick, and Rickie Fowler. The Bay's roster included a much more veteran lineup than their last game. Shane Lowry, Ludvig Aberg, and Wyndham Clark all dressed for the Bay. None of those golfers were involved in their last win against Los Angeles.

Triples

The Bay opened the match on fire, winning the first three holes while only using one Hammer. Shane Lowry was consistent all night, leading his team with a clutch shot on their first three holes. Every team that has won the first three holes has gone on to win the match in TGL history. New York looked poised to break that trend when they finally got on the board at the fourth hole, capitalizing after Aberg narrowly missed his putt. New York closed the gap further when Clark hit his tee shot into the water on the infamous 'Stinger' hole.

On hole 11, New York tied the match 3-3 after Clark found the penalty area for a second time. Controversy surrounded the 13th hole as the Bay threw the Hammer before Schauffele's bunker shot. After a review, they deemed that the Hammer was illegal because Schauffele was already set up to the ball. He took a practice shot after the initial Hammer was thrown; however, that did not seem to help. He went on to flub his chip and ultimately give Aberg and the Bay the hole.

Clark and the Bay went on to win the next hole after a New York declined a Hammer. On the last hole, New York still had the opportunity to tie the match and send the game to overtime. Shane Lowry made sure that did not happen, tying the hole with Fowler for a 5-3 Bay victory. This win launched the Bay Golf Club into a playoff position as they have one match remaining.

Boston Common Golf vs New York Golf Club

New York sent out the same lineup, with the exception of Cameron Young replacing Fitzpatrick. This was the lineup that New York used in the playoffs last year, which led them to a second-place finish. Boston sent out a clean‑shaven Keegan Bradley as their lone representative from Monday night. Joining him for the first time all season were Hideki Matsuyama and Adam Scott.

Triples

After their defeat two hours earlier, New York started strong and won the first hole after Scott missed a four-foot putt. Boston answered quickly and won a point on the second hole after New York declined their Hammer. On the fifth hole, New York would win its last hole of the match when Boston wisely declined a Hammer, which would have forced Boston to make a 36-foot putt compared to a New York seven-footer. Boston would go on to win the next four holes to take a commanding 5-2 lead going into the Singles portion of play.

Singles

The wind was clearly out of New York's sails as they saw their playoff aspirations sail away. Scott won the 10th hole after a birdie and again on the 13th with another birdie after New York threw their Hammer. Bradley put the exclamation point on the match after a birdie win on 15 to take the match by a score of 9-2.

Boston Common and Atlanta Drive both clinched playoff berths after these two matches. After a winless 2025, Boston rebounded nicely this year and has an opportunity to clinch the one seed. Los Angeles Golf Club and the Bay currently hold the other two playoff positions however there are three remaining matches on the schedule.
