Tom Kim arrives to the Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches for the first time.

The 21-year-old South Korean phenom is one of the top-ranked players in the field. He brings in decent form with T-24th in his last start a couple weeks ago at the Genesis Invitational.

Kim has teed it up five times in 2024 with three starts coming at Signature Events.

He took T-17th at the WM Phoenix Open.

Kim became the youngest golfer since Tiger Woods to win three PGA Tour titles. Kim’s latest came in the fall in Las Vegas at the Shriners Children’s Open.

Last season, Kim ranked 19th on the PGA Tour in Strokes Gained: Total (.949). He is a well-rounded player who gained strokes in every category. That includes approach, where he was 10th (.655).

He’s the son of a former minor league golfer, so Kim’s well-steeped in the game.

Kim’s 2023 was highlighted by the win in Vegas, as well as his career-best finish at a major with T-2nd at The Open Championship. Kim amassed eight top-10s compared to four missed cuts.

It’s crazy to think this type of success could only be the beginning of a storied career.

“I've learned so much this year,” Kim was transcribed in October by ASAP Sports. “Like it's been unbelievable how big the learning curve has been.”

Kim doesn’t have a lot of tournaments under his belt in Florida. I envision a strong week for the youngster, but he won’t quite claim his fourth PGA Tour victory here in Palm Beach Gardens.
