Atlanta, Georgia, and East Lake Golf Club welcome the PGA Tour's Top 30 players for the season-ending Tour Championship. A race that began in January after the PGA Tour returned to a calendar-year schedule in 2024 for the first time since the 2012 season will conclude with the crowning of this year's FedEx Cup Champion at the Tour Championship.

World No.1 and FedEx Cup No.1, Scottie Scheffler, comes into this year's Tour Championship as the number-one overall seed following his historic season. Other notables in this week's field include this year's two-time major winner Xander Schauffele, 2024 FedEx St. Jude Champion, Hideki Matsuyama, last week's BMW Championship winner, Keegan Bradley, and three-time FedEx Cup Champion Rory McIlroy.

Scheffler enters the season finale at East Lake with a two-stroke advantage over second-seeded Xander Schauffele and a ten-stroke advantage over players seeded 26-30 as the Tour Championship continues to implement a starting strokes system that was first introduced in 2019. A unique format, eye-opening prizes, and FedEx Cup glory are all on the line this week as the 2024 season draws to a close. Here is a look at all of the information you need ahead of the 2024 Tour Championship, including tee times, the FedEx Cup purse, how to watch, and more.

Tour Championship field, format, course info

Here is a look at this week's official 30-man field at the season-ending Tour Championship.

As mentioned, Scottie Scheffler enters this year's Tour Championship as the number-one seed and will begin the week at 10-under par. Scheffler is followed by Xander Schauffele (-8), Hideki Matsuyama (-7), Keegan Bradley (-6), and Ludvig Aberg (-5). Rory McIlroy will begin his quest for FedEx Cup title number four alongside a host of others at 4-under. All 30 competitors will play all four rounds at East Lake this week beginning on their assigned starting strokes in round one.

East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia, an original Tom Bendelow design with later updates by both Donald Ross and Rees Jones, has hosted the Tour Championship every year since the event's inception. Architect Andrew Green led a restoration project of the classic design following the completion of last year's Tour Championship; East Lake will play as a 7,490-yard, Par 71, following the changes.

Tour Championship purse, prize money for 2024

The Tour Championship will feature the year's largest prize purse with a massive $100 million up for grabs for the final 30 players at East Lake in 2024. This is an increase from the $75 million prize purse that was divvied out to last year's Tour Championship field. The 2024 FedEx Cup champion will take home an eye-opening $25 million winner's share; an additional 7 million more than last year's winner's share of $18 million and 10 million more than the champion at East Lake received in 2019. Runner-up at this year's Tour Championship will earn a massive $12.5 million, while the 3rd place finisher at the season finale will take home a substantial $7.5 million prize.
