FedEx Cup winners, full list of champions in FedEx Cup history
The race to book a place in this year's FedEx Cup Playoffs culminated with the season-finale Wyndham Championship last week as 70 of the PGA Tour's top golfers officially secured their spots in the tour's postseason tournament. Now, attention turns toward the race for this season's FedEx Cup.
Over the next three weeks, some of the biggest names in golf will compete for the PGA Tour's top prize and an enormous $25 million payday. The 2024 FedEx Cup Playoffs will take place across three different events, beginning with the first leg of the postseason tournament at this week's FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis, Tennessee. The Top 50 will then advance to the BMW Championship the following week before the playoffs culminate with the Top 30 players at East Lake for the 2024 Tour Championship.
World No.1 and recent Olympic champion, Scottie Scheffler, and two-time 2024 major champion, Xander Schauffele, will both be looking to close out their exceptional seasons in style by claiming this year's FedEx Cup. Both, take a commanding lead into the postseason and it will be up to the rest to make a late Viktor Hovland-esque charge over the next few weeks.
Last year, Viktor Hovland punctuated a phenomenal season in style by winning both the BMW Championship and Tour Championship en route to the FedEx Cup title. Whether it's Scheffler, Schauffele, or any of the other contenders who made this year's playoffs, someone will look to join Hovland as a FedEx Cup champion. But who all has won the prestigious title since its inception back in 2007? Let's take a look.

In 2022, Rory McIlroy claimed his third FedEx Cup title surpassing the great Tiger Woods as the only player to have won more than two FedEx Cups. Both McIlroy and Woods remain the only players to have won the FedEx Cup on more than one occasion.
Last year, Viktor Hovland became the fourth European-born player to lift the cup joining Henrik Stenson (2013), Rory McIlroy (2016, 2019, 2022), and Justin Rose (2018). The 26-year-old became the first Norwegian to win the FedEx Cup.
The last American to win the FedEx Cup was Patrick Cantlay in 2021 when he edged out Jon Rahm at the Tour Championship. Cantlay's win at East Lake came a week after he won the BMW Championship for a second consecutive year to become the first player to successfully defend his title at a FedEx Cup Playoff event. Both Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele enter the 2024 playoffs with an excellent chance of becoming the tenth American winner of the FedEx Cup.
