2024 Wyndham Championship: Top 10 power rankings at Sedgefield CC

After a week off due to the Olympics, the PGA Tour has its final regular season event in Greensboro, North Carolina, this week. This is the last chance for players to make their playoff push, and only the top 70 players will make the initial event in Memphis.

8) Brian Harman

It has been a relatively quiet season for Harman after his victory at The Open last year; his game has been stuck in neutral for quite some time.

At his best, Harman combines elite iron play with a world-renowned putting stroke, but his putter has ghosted far too much for his liking this year. And similar to Ben Griffin, Harman is not a long hitter; his length tends to limit him at longer venues. Luckily for him, Sedgefield prioritizes accuracy and strategy over distance -- these are the types of tracks that he should be licking his chops over.

Therefore, it is a bit confusing as to why he has not performed better at this event in the past -- his average finish is 35th in his last four tries. His irons have been sharp as of late, and nearly 30 percent of approach shots at this track come from the 150-175-yard range. The former Georgia Bulldog ranks 14th on tour from that distance.

Harman's best finish this season came at TPC Sawgrass, a course that Data Golf deems the single most similar on the tour and major championship rotation.

The lefty seems to fly under the radar in golf circles; it is time the major champion reminds everyone how lethal he can be.

7) Aaron Rai

One of the great stories in the golf world as of late, it was a bit surprising that Rai did not receive an invitation to The Open given his play this year. So, all he did was fire a final round 63 at the Scottish Open to punch his ticket automatically.

And boy was he on an absolute heater prior to The Open, stringing together consecutive finishes of T2-T7-T4. Some of that can be attributed to his white-hot putter during the stretch, so it is reasonable to expect some regression with the flatstick.

He is another player who is not the furthest of hitters, but has proven to be deadly accurate off the tee, as he ranks third on tour in driving accuracy. He will hit a ton of fairways this week which should set up a ton of birdie looks.

He is one for two at Sedgefield, with his best finish being a T71. However, the Brit has been playing the best golf of his career in recent weeks, so I would expect a higher finish the third time around.
