2024 Wyndham Championship: Top 10 power rankings at Sedgefield CC

After a week off due to the Olympics, the PGA Tour has its final regular season event in Greensboro, North Carolina, this week. This is the last chance for players to make their playoff push, and only the top 70 players will make the initial event in Memphis.

2) Cameron Davis

The Aussie is sure to be a shoo-in on the Presidents Cup team this Fall, and deservedly so. He currently sits at 41st in the standings and has shown excellent form in recent weeks.

At 29, he is awfully talented and should pile up a hefty amount of wins as he progresses as a putter. His win at the Rocket Mortgage Classic in June was his second PGA Tour win in his career and could act as a springboard for future success.

It is no secret that Davis's game is widely inconsistent, but now having gained strokes off the tee and with his irons in his past four starts, I really like his chances this week.

The beauty of his game is that even if he does not putt well, he can still contend due to his high-level ball striking. Even if he is around the field average in terms of putting, he will most likely find himself in contention on Sunday. In today's game, only the most elite players can say that to be true. Davis has shown it in spurts. He is three for three in cuts made at the Wyndham Championship, and I think a high finish is in store this week.

1) Sungjae Im

It has been a tale of two seasons for the South Korean. From The Sentry to The Masters, Im had accumulated only one top-ten finish. From the RBC Heritage and on, Im has captured seven top tens.

Although he is just 26, it has felt like Im has been on tour for at least a decade -- he has been that good at such a young stage in his career.

In his last four starts, he has gained 11.18 strokes in total: arguably nobody has been better than Im in the last month and a half.

Everybody is familiar with his ball-striking prowess, but he has seriously found something with the putter, gaining 3.13 strokes in his last four starts.

Im is the type of player that people say "Well if he ever figured it out with the putter..."

For the time being, there is no more if: he seems to have found a putting formula that works for him. He has not won since the 2021-2022 season, and in a weak field, this is an excellent opportunity for him to capture his third career win.
