Genesis Invitational tee times, format, field, purse, how to watch
The signature events are coming thick and fast on the PGA Tour as the season kicks into full swing with the countdown to the Masters officially on. Two weeks after the year's second signature event at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, the third of the eight elite events with massive purses has arrived.
This week's Genesis Invitational will host the third signature event of 2024 as the PGA returns to the iconic Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, California. Always one of the most anticipated events on the schedule as Tiger's event, this week is extra special as the Big Cat returns to action on tour for the first time since last year's Masters.
Woods will be joined this week by a plethora of the biggest stars in golf with eighteen of the world's top 20 OWGR-ranked players in action. What time does Tiger Woods tee off at the Genesis Invitational?
Tiger Woods will begin play on Thursday at Riviera Country Club at 12:25 p.m. ET, alongside Justin Thomas and Gary Woodland in Round 1. The trio will tee off on Friday during Round 2 at 2:54 p.m. ET.

Genesis Invitational format and rules: Is there a cut?
The Genesis Invitational represents the third signature event of the year, but unlike the previous two signature events with limited fields and no cuts, the Genesis Invitational is set to implement a cut after 36 holes of play.
The top 50 players and ties in this 70-man field will advance through to the weekend at Riviera Country Club, along with any player who finds themselves within ten strokes of the leader following the completion of play on Friday.
Genesis Invitational: 2024 Prize purse and winner's share
The purse for the Genesis Invitational is set at a massive $20 million in 2024 with the champion at Riviera on Sunday set to take home the $4 million winner's share; right around 20% of this week's overall purse. As was the case with both The Sentry and the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, the $20 million that is up for grabs at this year's signature events is amongst the biggest purses on offer this season.
