MexicoOpen/PowerRank/10. 10. OWGR: 84th. FedEx Cup: 41st. Patrick Rodgers

Patrick Rodgers isn’t just a top-10 machine at the Mexico Open at Vidanta; he’s a 10th place machine.

That was his standing each of the last two years at this event. Rodgers posted 66-69-66-70 in 2022 to take solo 10th. He was just four off the pace.

The former Stanford Cardinal returned in 2023 to record 70-69-68-64 and surge on the weekend to T-10th. For the week, Rodgers was 13th in the field in Strokes Gained: Off-the-Tee (2.753) and 16th in SG: Putting (8.643).

He’s won in a Spanish-speaking country before. Rodgers’ lone pro win came at the 2015 Pacific Rubiales Colombia Championship presented by Claro on the Korn Ferry Tour.

“Oh, yeah, the win in Colombia, in Bogota was really special,” Rodgers was transcribed by Tee Scripts in 2022. “Something about maybe being out of the country or being in a spot that's slightly unfamiliar just helps me focus on the task at hand. I'm all business this week, it's all about golf and playing the best way that I can.”

Speaking of top-10s, Rodgers has one already in 2024. He played well at Torrey Pines to take T-9th at the Farmers Insurance Open.

The 31-year-old Hoosier is one of the best veteran players on the PGA Tour without a win. This week is a great opportunity for Rodgers to finally break that barrier.

At the very least, I see him keeping his top-10 streak at this event alive.
