Right now it has been a question of who is behind Scottie Scheffler in the FedEx Cup Standings. Rounding out the top 10 of the list currently is Patrick Cantlay. Cantlay has participated in nine tournaments and has made the cut in all nine.

Patrick Cantlay recently had his best showing this season

Cantlay finished in a tie for third at the RBC Heritage this past weekend. He was 15-under par for the tournament. His other top 10 this year came at the Genesis Invitational where he tied for fourth. It was his third top-five finish at the Genesis.

Cantlay did come under fire during the RBC Heritage after the horn had blown for a rain delay on Sunday. After the horn blew while Cantlay was on the 18th, he decided to take his second shot and then marked his ball on the green and elected to finish the next morning. Several players took to social media to question the move, but Cantlay told reporters after the tournament he chose to take the shot to make it easier to reach the green, then decided to finish in the morning.

Cantlay has eight wins on Tour with his last win coming at the 2022 BMW Championship. Cantlay joins a long list of players attempting to catch up to Scheffler. Included in the Top 10 with Cantlay are players such as Xander Schauffele.

Cantlay right now is attempting to stay in the top 10 with Collin Morikawa right on his heels. Morikawa currently is in 11th place and only 49 points behind Cantlay for the top 10 spot.
