Well, everyone, we’ve made it to the end of the Major Championship season. While this is always a sad time in the golf season, it still brings a lot of joy because the British Open is my favorite of the four majors.

But before we turn our attention to The Open at Royal Troon, let’s take a look back at the first three majors and remember how exciting they were.

Each major has been unique this season with some interesting and unpredictable storylines coming out of nowhere. So before we witness the oldest major take place, let’s rank the previous three majors based on how exciting and enjoyable they were as well as all the fun storylines attached to them.

3. The Masters

It’s probably not often that my least favorite major of the year is the Masters, but that just goes to show you how exciting the PGA and US Open were.

Scottie Scheffler took home the win at this year’s Masters, winning by four strokes at 11-under. That’s part of the reason why this major wasn’t as exciting as the others, because the result always felt known. Scheffler was the heavy favorite to win and he also essentially led the tournament from start to finish, which decreases the excitement of the tournament for me.

So while I will never say the Masters was boring or not fun to watch, this year’s version was my least favorite in quite some time, especially when you compare it to the PGA Championship and US Open.
