TGL players are torching the PGA Tour through the first half of the 2026 season

Week after week, a clear pattern is emerging as TGL players continue to consistently find themselves at the top of the leaderboard or firmly in the hunt.

As we reach the midway point of the golf season and calendar year, results have continued to show that golfers who participate in the TGL are consistently more successful.

Although the TGL attracts and showcases the best golfers in the sport, they still need to perform during their season. A golfer from every team has won a PGA Tour event in 2026. We'll take this opportunity to look back over the first half of the season for each team and review their successes.

Atlanta Drive GC

Chris Gotterup is not on the official roster for Atlanta but played for the team for most of the 2026 season. One could argue that he was the best player on their roster this season, and he continued his hot start by winning the first tournament of the year.

Gotterup won the Sony Open in Hawaii right in the middle of the TGL season. He followed up that victory by winning the Waste Management Open the very next month, defeating Boston Common's Hideki Matsuyama for his second Tour win of the year.

Atlanta's Justin Thomas returned from a back injury early in the season and has posted a top-10 finish in the Players Championship and a top-five finish in the PGA Championship. Finally, the ever-exciting Patrick Cantlay has had three top-10 finishes this year.

Boston Common Golf

In the most popular golf tournament in the world, Rory McIlroy won The Masters in back-to-back years. After strong starts on the first two days, he was able to play well enough to hold off Scottie Scheffler on Sunday. McIlroy continued his success with a top-10 finish in the PGA Championship.

Keegan Bradley has had a rough start to the year with only one top-10 finish and four missed cuts. Finally, Adam Scott has played well early on in the year with two fourth-place finishes at the Genesis Invitational and Cadillac Championship

Jupiter Links Golf Club

With Tiger Woods and Kevin Kisner not competing in any PGA Tour events this year, any wins this year would have to come from Tom Kim, Max Homa, or super sub Akshay Bhatia. Thus far, the only win has come from Bhatia, who won a playoff versus Daniel Berger in the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Bhatia also played well in the Waste Management Open with a third-place finish.

Homa has definitely had a better start this year than in 2025, but he has only cracked the top 10 once; however, it was in the Masters. Kim also has one top-10 finish in 2026, and that occurred when he finished tied for sixth in the Myrtle Beach Classic.

Los Angeles Golf Club

The 2026 TGL Champions have continued their dominance and have enjoyed early success from their golfers on the Tour. Justin Rose won the Farmers Insurance Open back in February. And once again, the Green Jacket eluded Rose as he finished in third. Rose also played well in the second major of the year, finishing tied in 10th place.

Collin Morikawa has had three top-five finishes even as he struggled with a back injury through a few tournaments. He won the Pebble Beach Pro-Am and has maintained his usual consistent ball-striking, as we have seen throughout his career.

Sahith Theegala and Tommy Fleetwood have yet to enjoy the success that their two fellow LAGC members have achieved. Theegala is still seeking his first top-five finish, while Fleetwood looks to improve in major tournaments, as a 33rd-place finish has been his best performance.

New York Golf Club

Cameron Young and Matthew Fitzpatrick have had their coming-out parties in the last couple of months of this season. Young has won The Players Championship and the Cadillac Championship while finishing tied for third in the Masters. He has finally become the complete player, with his short game to pair with his massive drives.

Fitzpatrick has won three tournaments already this season (Valspar Championship, RBC Heritage, and the Zurich Classic). He also finished second to Young at The Players, even while enduring a hostile (and dumb) crowd. Xander Schauffele and Rickie Fowler have also enjoyed early-season success, although neither has secured a tournament victory. They currently have five and four top-10 finishes, respectively.

The Bay Golf Club

The Bay only has one tournament victory, and that came last weekend when Wyndham Clark won the CJ Cup Byron Nelson. This win was Clark's best tournament by far, as he had not cracked the top 10 until that point.

Ludvig Aberg has played well all year, although he has not won a tournament. He has six top-10 finishes, which are tied for the second most on the Tour behind Scheffler and Si Woo Kim. Shane Lowry and Min Woo Lee are both still looking for some consistent success.

While the TGL does not classify as "real golf", the early season results from its participants show that the winter swings and competitiveness have been beneficial for most of its golfers.
