The third round of the 2025 PGA Championship didn't get off to the greatest start, as inclement weather delayed play for several hours, which forced a change in tee times and groupings while also annoying Rory McIlroy to no end.
McIlroy, who made the cut on the number, was a non-factor on Saturday after having his starting time pushed back by more than five hours, shooting a 1-over 72 to end his day in a tie for 49th.
The top of the leaderboard was much more exhilarating, as nine different players held a share of the lead as the afternoon progressed at Quail Hollow, one of whom was Bryson DeChambeau.
The reigning U.S. Open champion made five birdies in his first 15 holes but stumbled down the stretch, making a bogey at the 16th and a double at the 17th to fall back. DeChambeau will enter the final round in a tie for eighth at 5-under, as will Keegan Bradley, Tony Finau, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Matthieu Pavon.
Eighteen- and 36-hole leader Jhonattan Vegas came into Moving Day with a two-shot advantage but quickly lost it with bogeys on the first two holes. To his credit, he never genuinely fell apart, shooting even par the rest of the way, but he'll enter the final round five shots back in a tie for fifth at 6-under alongside Jon Rahm and Si Woo Kim.
Tied for third at 7-under are Davis Riley and J.T. Poston, while Alex Noren, who was playing just his seventh competitive round of the year, fired a brilliant 5-under 66 to get into the final pairing on Sunday at 8-under.
The man all of these players are chasing, of course, is Scottie Scheffler, who had an up-and-down round before going bonkers at the end of his third round, going 5-under on his final five holes with an eagle and three birdies to shoot a 6-under 65, thus putting him at 11-under for the week.

Anyone think the world No. 1 is going to blow a three-shot lead on a major championship Sunday? Oddsmakers certainly don't, as Scheffler will enter the final round at Quail Hollow with -450 odds to win.
Noren sits in a distant second at +1800, while Rahm (+2200), Poston (+3000), and DeChambeau (+3000) round out the top five.
2025 PGA Championship betting odds heading into the final round at Quail Hollow Club
Here's a look at the betting odds for 59 of the 74 remaining players in the field at the 2025 PGA Championship. Fourteen are no longer getting odds to win, and Sergio Garcia, who sits in last place among those who made the weekend at 9-over, isn't even getting odds to place in the top five or even the top 10.
Truth be told, many of the 59 should probably be in the other group, but we'll go ahead and list everyone still getting odds anyway.
