2015 Women’s British Open Golf Channel Fantasy Picks

Group 1: Since doing these articles, this maybe the first time I won’t be taking Inbee Park as my pick in Group 1. She’s always money, but I’m going to fade her this week.
My reason for that is she has struggled in British Opens in the past. And when I say struggled I mean she has “struggled”. In eight British Opens she has made the cut in seven of those tournaments.
Meaning, she has actually missed a cut here at the British Open. And she has only finished inside the top ten in four of the last five tournaments. If we all could struggle like that, right?

I probably just made a case for taking Park, but I do feel if there is a tournament to fade her, it may as well be this one.
Instead, I’m going to take the only golfer who has won a Women’s British Open in her career in this group and that is Stacy Lewis.
Lewis is five-for-five in made cuts with a T-11 in 2011, T-8 in 2012, win in 2013 and T-12 in 2014. Lewis has shown to be comfortable on links style golf courses and in the elements.
Plus, Lewis has been in fine form of late finishing inside the top three in two of her last four tournaments.
Suzann Pettersen might not be a bad pick either has she has finished T-4 and T-2 the last two years. She may be on the verge of breaking through with a win.
