The big 5-0. This tournament marked the 50th win of Tiger Woods’ career, becoming just the seventh player in PGA TOUR history to do so. Not only was he the seventh player to accomplish this milestone, but he was the youngest of any player to reach 50 wins, and he did so with a .255 winning percentage.

The most birdies Woods has recorded in a single tournament is 28, and it’s happened three times in his career. One of those instances came at the 2006 Buick Open.

He shot four consecutive rounds of 66 to defeat Jim Furyk by three strokes.

If Woods had continued his winning pace of about five wins per season, then he could have broken Sam Snead’s all-time win record in the 2016 season. Unfortunately, there were a couple of setbacks in Tiger’s career, and he still sits three wins away from the record.

Out of his eight appearances at the Buick Open, Eldrick has finished outside of the top 10 only once. His record of closing out 54-hole leads improved to an incredible 36-3 with the win.
