Annika Sorenstam is the young Dane’s golf idol and her goal is to be the best golfer in the world. She’s made a good start with her wire-to-wire win at the 2015 Hero Women’s Open, her first pro victory.
In all, Pedersen had a splendid rookie year on the Ladies European Tour, with a pair of runner-up finishes at the Deloitte Ladies Open and the Lacoste Ladies Open de France and a 17th place finish at the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters. Her good work got her the LET’s Rookie of the Year award and a fine start on a pro career that will go global.
Pedersen has two immediate goals: to represent Denmark in Rio and to follow in Charley Hull’s wake and win the Order of Merit in 2016. Let’s watch her pursue those goals.
