Jaye Marie Green isn’t likely to let her team manager down by missing the cut.

As we move further down the rankings with Group 3, I start to think more in terms of making the cut than a high finish, although there are a number of players in Group 3 who are more than capable of finishing on the front page of the leaderboard.

More from Fantasy Golf

Julieta Granada delivered some very impressive rounds of golf last year and although she’s had an up and down early season – 5 starts, 2 missed cuts, no top-20 finishes – I think she’s worth a look for any fantasy golf team. Granada’s played the weekend at the Founders Cup for the last 3 years. She knows the course and how to manage her game. She probably won’t record a high finish but she won’t let the team down either.

Karine Icher might be a slightly better pick simply because in 5 starts she’s not missed a cut this year and she’s also played the weekend at the Founders Cup for the last two years.

With two top-20 finishes this year, 4 starts and no missed cuts, Caroline Masson looks even better to me than Granada or Icher. Her T12 finish in Phoenix two years ago is also impressive.

Holly Clyburn’s one of the very promising 2016 rookies I’m watching and she’s playing a steady game: 2 starts, 2 cuts made. But no matter how promising, I think I want to see a bit more from Clyburn before I tape her for my fantasy golf team, despite her very fine Ladies European Tour record.

I have a soft spot for Jaye Marie Green. She’s been working hard on her game and on her attitude and it’s paying off for her. She’s played the Founders Cup twice and twice made the cut.  In her rookie year she finished inside the top-20, and she’s not missed a cut this year.

For me, the choice comes down to a decision between Caroline Masson and Jaye Marie Green and there are sound reasons for picking either players.
