Michelle Wie is showing signs of staging a comeback – could she hoist the trophy this week?

For me the choice from this group narrows down to five players: Su Oh, Megan Khang, Michelle Wie, Angel Yin, and Moriya Jutanugarn.

With 2 top 10s and 3 top 20s in five starts, Moriya Jutanugarn has shown remarkable strength this year. She may be getting ready to follow little sister Ariya into the winner’s circle and she’d be a good pick under any circumstances given what she’s done so far this season.

Playing their sophomore year on the Tour, Su Oh and Megan Khang both seem to be struggling to find their rhythm although in the long term they’ll both make their mark on women’s golf.

With Minjee Lee and Karrie Webb in the field this week Oh will have plenty of Aussie support. If you’re partial to her, put her on your team.

Khang is a spunky player who will settle in. She missed the cut last year, but it gave her 36 holes to get familiar with Aviara and I look for her to play the weekend this year.

Rookie Angel Yin has collected 2 checks in 3 starts. That’s a good beginning to her rookie year. If you like to take risks, give her a chance.

Michelle Wie is my sleeper pick to win the Kia Classic. She’s showing all the classic signs of staging a comeback this season and the 2016 Kia Classic was one of the few events where she actually made the cut last season. I’m going to take the leap and put her on my team.
