Carly Booth: Rolex Rank – 404

With Bronte Law’s move up to Group 3, I’m looking to Marissa Steen, Hannah Burke, Carly Booth, and Mariah Stackhouse for my Group 4 pick this week. Who’s most likely to survive the cut?

More from Fantasy Golf

Overlooking her missed cut at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, Marissa Steen has made the cut in seven of her 12 starts this season. That’s not a particularly impressive record, but it’s better than Hannah Burke, who has made only one LPGA start (she’s splitting her time between the LPGA and LET) and missed the cut, so no matter how promising Burke may be, she just hasn’t shown me enough game to merit a pick this week. She needs to give me more playing time at LPGA events.

Despite her standout collegiate career with the Stanford Cardinal and her Curtis Cup performance, Mariah Stackhouse has struggled to make the move from amateur to professional golfer. Her rookie year results have been very mixed as she comes in to Thornberry Creek. Right now she’s a huge risk, although just as soon as I see some consistency in her game I’ll jump on her for my fantasy pics.

Carly Booth, who’s playing Thornberry Creek on a sponsor invite, looks like a solid pick to me. Booth, like a number of LET players, is having trouble getting in enough competitive rounds to keep her game fresh. She’s in Wisconsin limbering up for the U.S. Women’s Open next week. Two-time LET champion, Booth has the game to compete this week and I’m thinking she can deliver a better game than her current Rolex Rank implies.
