With the sixth-highest salary this week, Hoffman isn’t going to be anybody’s fantasy sleeper. He heads to TPC Deere Run on the heels of back-to-back top-ten finishes, and he’s hardly looked better all year.

While Hoffman is only three-for-six in career cuts made at the John Deere Classic, he does have two top-15 finishes to boot. In 2010, in fact, Hoffman finished tied for seventh here, and he arguably wasn’t in as good of form back then.

Although Hoffman ranks just 129th on the PGA TOUR in driving accuracy (58.87%) and 70th in greens-in-regulation, he’s found a way to come in 25th in birdie-or-better percentage. Averaging nearly four birdies per round, Hoffman has been one of the most efficient players on TOUR.

Hoffman also hasn’t missed a cut since April’s RBC Heritage, meaning you can be comfortable expecting him to be around and earning points this weekend. This is one of those spots where the premium salary should definitely pay off in the end.
