POTOMAC, MD – JUNE 29: Ollie Schniederjans of the United States plays a shot on the seventh hole during the first round of the Quicken Loans National on June 29, 2017 TPC Potomac in Potomac, Maryland. (Photo by Rob Carr/Getty Images) /

As we dip our toes in the legitimately low end of the salary pool, we continue to find some off-beat value. Had Schniederjans not signed for an incorrect score card and gotten disqualified at the Greenbrier, he still would have missed the cut, but that merely broke a streak of six in a row. As we all know, winning is great, but you still have to get to the weekend to do it first.

The stats aren’t golden, but for the price you’re paying, Schniederjans is a solid value for the John Deere Classic. And as we all know, you’re going to need a lower-priced player or two in order to meet the salary requirements. Why not look for something a little more out of these guys?

Schniederjans currently ranks 51st in adjusted scoring average on Tour, and 44th in birdie average, with 3.75 per round. As long as he’s able to find a few greens and play into the weekend once again, Schniederjans should bounce back and contribute well to your team.
