Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen was in the giving mood this holiday, as he gave his lineman the gift of golf.

You usually hear about athletes, normal either high profile ones or quarterbacks, giving their teammates gifts around the holidays. Josh Allen did just that, gifting his Buffalo Bills lineman some sweet golf gear for Christmas this year.

Quarterbacks are normally the ones you hear about, as they get their lineman good gifts every year. They are the ones who keep him in his job, so rewarding them and thanking them with something awesome each year is a standard.

For 2020, Josh Allen gave them the gift of golf.

It wasn’t just a little gift either. Josh Allen gave his Buffalo Bills lineman a new set of Callaway irons, along with an Odyssey putter, an Ogio bag, and lessons. Oh, some personalized golf balls too.

Hopefully, the clubs are pretty sturdy. One of my high school coaches played in the NFL for eight years, and he would snap his clubs over his shoulder when he played. Understandable for someone that’s big and strong.

It’s a great gift for Josh Allen to give his lineman and one that can continue to build camaraderie if they pick up on it and enjoy doing it. The relationship that a quarterback has with his lineman can be not just the difference between wins and losses but in a quarterback’s health and bank account.

Not only is it a great gift, but it sets the standard for other quarterbacks around the league for giving gifts to their players. Going a little outside the box can be a fine line to walk, as you don’t want to miss and give gifts that they aren’t going to enjoy. It seems like Josh Allen came down on the correct side of that with giving golf clubs to his crew.

I know I would like to get that gift from my boss for Christmas, and I think nearly any golfer would. We might not all be able to get or give gifts like that, so you could always check out our Holiday gift guide if you are still trying to find something for the golfer in your life.
