With this year's Signature Events now officially in the books, the final march toward the FedEx Cup Playoffs begins as the PGA Tour heads to the Motor City for the newly renamed Rocket Classic.
Formerly the Rocket Mortgage Classic, this event has been a regular stop on the PGA Tour since 2019, and despite following a major championship and a Signature Event, Detroit Golf Club has attracted a relatively strong field for the seventh edition of this championship.
Fresh off his dramatic win at the Travelers Championship this past Sunday, U.S. Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley will tee it up in the Motor City and will be joined by Collin Morikawa, Patrick Cantlay, Hideki Matsuyama, and defending champion Cam Davis, who also won this event in 2021.
This week's field will be tested by Detroit Golf Club's par 72, 7,370-yard Donald Ross design for a final time before the historic venue undergoes an extensive $16 million renovation.
Let's dive into this week's picks and predictions, as some of the best on Tour look to put on a show at the PGA Tour's lone stop in the state of Michigan.
2025 Rocket Classic picks and predictions
Top 20 pick for the Rocket Classic: Taylor Moore (+210)
Taylor Moore has finished 25th or better in two of his last four starts coming into this year's Rocket Classic.
A winner at the Valspar Championship in 2023, Moore is having a solid enough season thus far, posting five top-25s and a pair of top-10s in 15 starts. He's finished 10th or better in each of his three starts at the Rocket Classic and has gained strokes on the tricky green complexes at Detroit Golf Club on each occasion.
Top 20 pick for the Rocket Classic: Max Greyserman (+160)
Max Greyserman returns to the Rocket Classic after finishing T31 in his debut here last year. After finishing runner-up in three different events last year, Greyserman has continued his high level of consistency in 2025, with only two missed cuts and eight top-25 finishes.
He comes into this week after a solid start at the Travelers Championship, where he finished tied for 36th place and fired two rounds in the mid-60s. Greyserman ranks 25th or better in this week's field in driving distance, tee-to-green, and strokes gained approach over his last 20 rounds, per Data Golf.
Pick to win the Rocket Classic: Wyndham Clark (+4000)
Wyndham Clark will make his third start at the Rocket Classic this week, his first since a T8 finish here in 2022. His first appearance here resulted in a T17 finish in 2019, and it's a venue that should suit him well, given his elite driving and putting skills.
Clark ranks 15th on the PGA Tour in driving distance this season and comes into this week carrying some momentum after a T17 finish in Connecticut last week.
Pick to win the Rocket Classic: Davis Thompson (+3500)
Davis Thompson has improved on his previous results at the Rocket Classic in each of his last two starts at Detroit Golf Club.
After finishing tied for 58th on his debut in 2021, Thompson finished T24 in 2023 and T2 here last year. After his runner-up finish at last year's Rocket Classic, the talented 26-year-old would go on to win in his very next start at the John Deere Classic a week later, his first on the PGA Tour.
Thompson, like Clark, comes into this year's event with some momentum after securing a top-25 finish at TPC River Highlands, which he sorely needed, having missed the cut in three of his previous four starts.
