The third major of the year on the LPGA Tour is on tap this week. The Women’s U.S. Open is this week taking place in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
The host course this year is Lancaster Country Club. This will have a different look to it this year as ball strikers won’t be at much of a disadvantage this year.

Lancaster Country Club clocks in at 6,460 yards. This will be the shortest course that has hosted the U.S. Open since 2004. That is when the 6,473 yard Orchard Golf Club was host.
It’s a significant change when you consider the length of golf courses recently. Last year, Pinehurst No 2 (6,649 yards) hosted, in 2013 Sebonack Golf Club (6,821 yards) hosted.
In 2012, Blackwolf Run (6,954 yards) hosted, and in 2011 The Broadmoor hosted and it came in at a whopping 7,047 yards.
So, this year will be a bit different and we’ll see how much that changes the tournament. It’s something to think about and to keep your eye on.
Anyway, as you might expect, Golf Channel has included the Women’s U.S. Open as a part of their fantasy game this week and we will be going over, breaking it down and making some picks.
With that, here are the 2015 U.S. Women’s Open Golf Channel fantasy picks.
