As if we needed another reason to not like Bryson DeChambeau.  I shouldn’t be surprised by the latest stroke of idiocy by the mad scientist.

The 27-year old tested positive for Covid-19 a couple of weeks ago, which forced him to miss the Olympics, being replaced by Patrick Reed. Despite not having full energy at the St. Jude Classic, DeChambeau says he doesn’t regret not getting vaccinated.

Bryson told reporters, “The vaccine doesn’t necessarily prevent it from happening. I’m young enough, I’d rather give it to people who need it. I don’t need it. I’m a healthy, young individual that will continue to work on my health.”

Full disclosure, it will take all of my will power not to swear up and down this piece. How dumb and ignorant could you be?

He is correct, the vaccine doesn’t prevent you from necessarily prevent you from contracting Covid-19. However, it is far, far less effective on the body if you are vaccinated. The odds of you being hospitalized with Covid-19 are minuscule.

DeChambeau did talk about how his father is a diabetic, and he is vaccinated, which is great. Saving it for someone else is an extremely weak reason not to get it. There are no shortages of vaccines, in any capacity. His argument doesn’t hold any water.

On top of that, the argument of being young and healthy doesn’t stand up either. The delta variant has clearly had a bigger effect on children and younger people than first version that made its way around the world.

Bare minimum, Bryson DeChambeau is being an ignorant, selfish player on the team. His attitude toward the situation is as gross as his reasoning is flawed.

He undermined his own argument saying he lost, “8 to 10 pounds,” in the last two weeks, and feels his club head speed has dropped off. Ergo, it has effected him, maybe not a severely as some others, but more severely than if he was vaccinated.

I feel like I say this at least once every week, and I’ll say it again, Coivd-19 is still very much out there. You’d do well to not be like Bryson, and not follow what he’s doing, nor get your medical advice from Facebook and Reddit.

Honestly, I’d be pissed if I was Dustin Johnson or Cameron Smith, being grouped for two days with this guy just coming off of Covid-19. I would do everything I could to stay away from him as I can. The man just doesn’t know when to stop with his stupid antics.

I’m going to ask you to do a simple task. Please, don’t be like Bryson. It won’t be a good time, and you’ll like yourself a lot more if you don’t.
